Rough Riders, Bataan & More !



Come learn about the many connections between New Mexico and the Philippine Islands. This fascinating program will include:

an overview by Tessie Greenfield: how residents with a Filipino heritage network, preserve their language and connect on cultural activities;
Dr. Dely Alcantara, a recipient of the Governor’s Award for Outstanding NM Women, will describe some of the historical connections;
Celia Tomlinson, the first Asian female to own an engineering company will describe her book;
Emilie Underwood will tell of the Pamana Awardees who have contributed to Albuquerque.


We’ll enjoy some Filipino food and learn a traditional dance
