HSers in the News! Natalie Chambers wins 2nd Place in the Reading Rainbow Contest!

Congratulations to Homeschooler

Natalie Chambers

who won 2nd Place

in the 3rd Grade Division of the Reading Rainbow Contest in Albuquerque.

The title of her book is "Mystery Girl".
The basic plot is about a girl who helps poor people. She is dressed in
such a way that others do not know who she is. There is a rich man which despises
her and a young girl who loves her and has a deep need to know 'who is mystery
girl?'. In the end the young girl finds out, through a tragedy, who
mystery girl is and knows that no one should ever know who she truly is in the end.

According to her mother, Kathy Chambers, Natalie is a self motivator. She has written stories since she was 5 years old. This was her third year to enter a story with Reading Rainbow.

Kathy is considering making copies and binding the illustrated story into a readable version that everyone can share with their own children. If you are interested please contact her at chambers33@usa.net.

Congratulations again on your fantastic achievement Natalie!
