Here is the info on my camps. I have 3 camps for grades 1-3. They will be offered in the morning 9-12 and 3 for grades 3-8 which will be the same weeks, but they are 1-4. All camps are $100 a week. I can be reached at 610-7853 or avalen@back2basicsacademy.com

Here is the list of camps:

Grades 1-3
June 9th-13th Reptiles
Kids just love reptiles. We will explore the different types of reptiles. We will learn about snakes, turtles, lizards and crocodilians. We will learn about the life cycles as well.

June 16-14 Rock on!

This camp will explore rock formations, volcanoes and earthquakes. We will be doing experiments that will demonstrate how rocks are formed and we will also be making some fossils of our own.
July 14-18 Yucky Science Experiments

The messier the better! This is a fun camp designed to introduce students to the Scientific Method. We will be completing a series of experiments that will keep your child engaged the whole time. Things bubbling, experiments you can eat, and much more!

Afternoon Sessions 1:00-4:00 Grades 3-8
June 9-13 Sticky, Gloppy, Wacky Science Experiments
In this camp we will be guiding campers through the necessary steps to successfully complete a science experiment.. These experiments will be in the areas of Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science and Physics.

June 16-20 Fantastic 5
Animal classifications will be explored in this camp. We will learn about mammals, birds, amphibians, fish, and reptiles. We will study the different characteristics of each classification. We will also spend time learning how the animals interact with each other.

July 14-18 Science Fair Camp
Let’s face it when Science Fair time comes around, we all procrastinate and put it off until the last minute. Reasons vary from not knowing how to present an experiment, or even what to do at all! In this camp we will be doing a series of experiments using the Scientific Method. We will walk your student through the process of completing several science fair experiments so that your child is better prepared for the fair when it comes.

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.
