Albuquerque: Cosmic Carnival

Cosmic Carnival 2008 Sunday, April 20 Noon-6:00 PM

Cosmic Carnival is a FREE family science festival presented to the community by a partnership of astronomy clubs, museums, and the City of Albuquerque.
This special event is being held in association with National Astronomy Day. Cosmic Carnival will again partner with the 2008 City of Albuquerque's Fiestas de Albuquerque celebration.
Cosmic Carnival features lots of hands-on activities and demos, safe telescope observing of the Sun, astronomy and science exhibitors from all over New Mexico, educational
give-aways, and free raffles with great prizes.
This year Cosmic Carnival will be in the very center of Old Town Albuquerque with the exhibitors’ tents set up on the street in front of the San Felipe Church.
All of Old Town will be closed to all vehicle traffic creating a giant pedestrian area for the science activities.
A 6 inch telescope will be given away, ad there will be lots of free materials, hands on activities,and learning.
