1:00 pm -- Brain Integration Therapy
Brain Integration Therapy consists of a technique called Repatterning which is a specific set of physical activities designed to activate and set electrical pathways in the brain that allows it to work easily and at it's best. For example, a child who has been diagnosed with dyslexia is having problems flipping or reversing their letters and/or numbers. The reason this happens is because of the inefficient way the brain is processing the information. The left side of the brain that deals with the details is not communicating well with the right side of the brain that deals with the big picture. The left side sees and understands the individual letters and sounds of the words, but when the left side sends the details over to the right side to come up with the whole word the message gets mixed up and comes back reversed. Brain Integration changes the way the brain processes information, allowing for whole-brained learning. Presented by: Mary Jo Snyder
