Los Alamos: Cafe Scientifique - High School

There is a new program being offered for high school students this fall here in Los Alamos!

LANL is a major partner in this project and they are really looking forward to getting more information about the discoveries at LANL in the public and building a bridge between our youth and the lab. UNM-LA is also a partner and they will host meetings in which we need technology to do our work e.g. on the blogs, creating youth webpages or other projects.

Science - on your territory, on your terms!

Cafe Scientifique is a new way to talk about science: informal, school-based events where students and practicing scientists meet to discuss ideas and issues in contemporary science and technology,

Students: you will organize your Café Scientifique and all the major decisions will be yours. The Café Scientifique project organizer will be here to help and support you but you will be deciding what you want to talk about, who your café is open to, when and where it takes place and who is responsible for organizing what.
