Albuquerque: Teacher Appreciation Events @ Bookworks, Authors, Sale!

While they initially were NOT going to allow homeschoolers a chance to get the same discounts as teachers they have decided that they will allow us. BUT you MUST bring your NM State PED confirmation sheet that you printed out when you registered with the state AND a photo ID or you will not get the discount. They used to allow homeschoolers to just say they were homeschooling but they feel that perhaps they might have been taken advantage of in some cases so now they require ID which is really not a big deal. They are a great book store and will special order things you are looking for if you do not find it there, believe me they have gone to great lengths for my family when we needed a special book that was hard to find at the price we needed. That and they are one of our great local bookstores and I always believe in supporting the local stores when I can! I will send another announcement as it gets closer their actual Teacher Days and it will be on our calendar! Have fun homeschooling, Tabitha
