Homeschoolin’ in the Home Range Ecology Day
Thursday, November 1st, 9:30-2, SMNHC (Cedar Crest)
November is one of the most dynamic times of year in the mountains! Come learn about the plants, animals, and ecology of the Sandias!
The day includes:
· A guided hike in our beautiful Pinon-Juniper and Ponderosa forests
· Fun activities that teach ecology concepts
· Exploring our hands-on exhibit rooms.
Groups of homeschoolers and their families will be guided on the 4 ½ hour program by one of our educators; since the day is structured for group activities pre-registration is required. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.)
Age Level: Any age. Most content geared towards 8-12 year olds.
Cost: $1 per person donation suggested.
Also offered in the spring (March 13th - tentative date).
