Resources: Multiple Intelligences & Learning Styles

Over the past few months I have discussed with several of you Learning Styles and Multiple Intelligences, the local CABQ library also has some good books on the subject but for more 'at the fingertips' information have fun browsing the links below. This is how we really started homeschooling by trying to figure out how each of my kids' learned best and what curriculum or books would match their learning styles and interests and although it is hard for me who has a different multiple intelligence and learning style than my kids do to jump around it has really helped them to learn in the best ways for them and in the subjects they want to learn. Also realize that kids and even us as adults do change as we grow and I have taken the Mulitiple Intelligence test at various points in my life and found that I have gotten higher and lower in some areas. All in all a very interesting topic and I hope it helps some of you in your homeschooling! Have fun, Tabbi

Article on Howard Gardner and Multiple Intelligences and how he added an eighth intelligence

Another good article resource although this one describes the eighth intelligence as being intuitive not naturalist but Howard Gardner is the one that coined the naturalist so perhaps there could be nine..you decide
