> National Junior Ranger Day Activities
> Hawks Aloft & Junior Ranger Fever

> In celebration of National Junior Ranger Day, Hawks Aloft, Inc. (a
> nonprofit organization that cares for injured indigenous birds) will be
> at the Visitor Center from 10 am to 12 noon. Docents from Hawks Aloft
> will present educational programs on the anatomy, habitat, and behavior
> of indigenous wild birds. Bird identification tips and pointers will
> also be discussed.

> At 1:00 pm children of all ages are welcome to join a park ranger in
> Boca Negra Canyon for a guided hike to explore, discover, and learn
> about protecting the natural and cultural resources of Petroglyph
> National Monument. Children will work on completing the Jr. Ranger
> Activity booklet and earn awards for completed booklets. This free hike
> will take place on Saturday, April 28 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Boca Negra
> Canyon.

> These programs are free and open to the public. The Visitor Center is
> located at 4735 Unser Blvd. NW at Western Trail. Boca Negra Canyon is
