Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is hosting MLK Service
Day, ''Make It A Day On, Not a Day Off'' to be held
Monday, January 15. 2007
Dr. King knew that significant social changes could
only occur by developing alliances and common ground
between uncommon partners. Join us in service to our
community and renewing our commitment to Dr. Kings
vision.
MLK Service Day is sure to be an exciting day of
celebration, service, and FUN!

January 17, 2007 - January 18, 2007
Two Gray Hares DGC Ice Bowl
Subject: Ice Bowl coming up on January 17 and 28.
This is a fun event which also help Taos Shared Table
Everyone is invited to come to our Ice Bowl to be held
on the last weekend of January. Saturday will be the
Tortoise and Hare Relay and mini toss at Sipapu.
Sunday will find us playing in the snow at the Two
Gray Hares DGC. Come and have some fun!
TWO GREY HARES DISC GOLF COURSE:
Fees for playing the course are $3 per person per day
or you may buy a yearly pass for $40. This is a true
year pass (12 months from date of issue). Season pass
holders and lifetime members get special rates at some
events.

Rio Fest International Environmental Film Festival
Rio Fest International Film Festival will show films
in all themes from documentary and narrative to
animation, poetic and shorts. Films that are
humourous, inspirational, exciting, progressive and
thought provoking will be shown for all ages of
entertainment.

Gala with opening film. Saturday film screening and
events all day. Seminars & Meet and Greet with
writers, producers and directors.

Percha and Vicinity. January 20. Meet at the parking
lot of the Highway 70 K-Mart (east-side) at 7:00 AM.
We will be birding the Rio Grande Valley between Derry
and Arrey, Percha State Park and Animas Creek Canyon.
We should be back in Las Cruces in the early PM. It
is suggested that participants bring plenty to drink
and some snacks to munch on. We should have Sandhill
Cranes, several kinds of ducks, meadowlarks, kestrels,
Yellow-rumped Warblers, and a variety of sparrows.
Also possible are bluebirds, Cedar Waxwings, Vermilion
Flycatchers and woodpeckers.
