Albuquerque Area Home School Science & Engineering Fair - IN CASE OF SNOW

I just wanted to let you know that, in the event of heavy snow on Friday, we have a contingency plan.

I have spoken with the folks at Heights First Church of the Nazarene, where the science fair is being held, to see if there is an alternate date “just in case.” Their calendar is open for Friday, January 26th. Therefore, we have decided that if the Albuquerque Public Schools are either cancelled for the day, or are on a 2-hour delay, we will postpone our science fair on the 19th and hold it, instead, on the 26th. Since we have participants and judges coming from the Albuquerque area, west side, east side, Los Lunas, Belen, etc., we did not want to put anyone in jeopardy trying to get to the science fair early Friday if the roads are hazardous.

That said, and having a contingency plan in place, I’m figuring the weather will be great and we’ll see you all there tomorrow.

I hope all will go as planned, but if we do have to use our alternate date because of snow, I hope that doesn’t inconvenience anyone terribly.

Take care,
