Join us at the Rio Grande Botanic Garden to celebrate trees! On Friday, March 16, 2007, from 10am-2pm, the Rio Grande Botanic Garden will host a Tree Discovery Day as part of New Mexico Arbor Month.

This fun, educational event will include hands-on stations and displays by the Rio Grande Botanic Garden, Tree New Mexico, the forester for the City of Albuquerque, Keep New Mexico Beautiful, and PNM. Gather useful information about choosing, planting, and caring for trees. Try out the challenge of our tree scavenger hunt, and look back in time through a tree's trunk. See if you can solve the recycling puzzle, and learn about how planting trees helps our environment.

The event is included with regular admission. Admission is $7.00 for adults, and $3.00 for seniors 65 and older and children 3-12. The Albuquerque Biological Park is a division of the City of Albuquerque's Cultural Services Department.
