EM/Albuquerque Area: Music for 5-8yo

This class is offered for children ages 5-8. Basic music concepts will be taught such as rhythm, patterns, steps, skips, high/low notes, etc. The children will be learning to sing simple songs and use a variety of musical instruments to accompany themselves and learn rhythm. They will have access to drums, xylophones, maracas, bells, cymbals, hand harps and a piano. They will also use movement as an expression of music. They will be introduced to early concepts of written music. The class will be taught by myself, a veteran home school mom of 15 years and my 18yo daughter that has studied piano and voice professionally (piano for 13 years and voice for 4). The class is from 9:00-9:50 am on Thursdays. The cost is $3.00/class. It is encouraged that you try to come on a regular basis, but it is not required.
