Remember that little film festival you heard about down in Southern New Mexico.....you know, the one out at White Sands in Alamogordo?
Well it is time to think about a getaway down south for a few days---------to attend and participate in its 4th Annual festival production, panels and workshops!
Film festival website is: www.wsiff.com. Go check out the competitive films. The quality of the films received this year is amazing! WSIFF has chosen some that are sure to become award-winning favorites in the finalists! And this year promises to be bigger and better than ever! Out of 140 competitive films there are 50 to be screened at an all-new digital state-of-the-art Cinema.
The Festival has some outstanding venue partnerships, in addition to guest filmmakers and the special features. 2008 WSIFF has grown and expanded once again to now provide 7 Festival days, with special seminars, workshops and feature films! We have added the All-New recently constructed “Aviator 10" Allen Theaters Cinema on Hwy 70 bypass as the new screening facility. Aviator is providing 4 theaters dedicated to the festival screenings and a special upstairs lounge for filmmakers!
The New Mexico Museum of Space History is hosting both a special feature night and the all-day High School Competition complete with workshops. On March 16th, the Spencer Theater in Alto, (Ruidoso) NM, is hosting a very special opening day activity schedule with an elegant VIP Reception that will delight you while the scenery of Sierra Blanca and the Sacramento Mountains takes your breath away and has you contemplating making a feature film in the main lobby!
Festival passes and seminars still available. For more information call 1-877-345-6973 .
