Rio Rancho: Soap Box Derby Schedule JUNE 7th!!

This is kind of nice because they have some soapbox derby cars available to race for free. We let our boys race last month and is wasn't free=) This event is held in Rio Rancho and it may be the last time to use the track since Vista Verde Memorial Park is extending the grounds for their use. Some quick tips. Bring some type of shade and lots of water. You do need at least one person with manpower to help with the kids cars when unloading. And you can get going up to 35 miles per hour. They provide helmets and goggles for you too. Also, they do help you get your car ready and it was informative for the boys to learn to put a soapbox derby car together. Test runs are on Fri. PLEASE NOTE: We are extremely short on racers for the Local Race on June 7th. If you woulk like to race or if you know of someone who would like to race please call 867-6833 we do have cars available for use FREE. We would need to get the car set up this week and do practice runs on Friday afternoon or first thing Saturday morning. Brenda

The minimum age is 8 for the stock division and 10 for the super stock and masters divisions.

The maximum age is 13 for the stock division and 17 for the super stock and masters division.
