The Board on Energy and Environmental Systems of the National Research
Council recently published a 32-page booklet entitled What You Need to Know
About Energy. Geared to a general audience, the booklet is the first in what
will be a series of informational booklets designed to engage readers in
current topics in science, engineering, and medicine. The series is part of
the National Academies' Communications Initiative.
