Hands down best resources for homeschoolers--THE LIBRARY!! Making friends with your librarian is one of the best relationships and community resources you can have for your child(ren)! And the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Library System is the biggest one in the state with branches in the East Mountains to the West Mesa!

Did you know:
not only can you and your kids get library cards but
you can save and order your books online to be picked up at your favorite branch?
adults as well as kids (even non readers) can sign up for the summer reading program?
they have Digital Library (Databases) that include resources such as Automotive, Languages, Magazines and Newspapers and more?
volunteering opportunities?
meeting rooms?
classes on using the library and it's resources?
OH YEAH AND THEY HAVE BOOKS TOO!!! You can even order books from other libraries in inter-library loans!
Personally in my homeschooling I don't know what we would have done without our library and the librarians they employ. I hope you got to meet some of these wonderful people at the New Mexico Home School Community Fair 2008 but if not stop by your local branch and make friends with your librarian today!!
