Winter Reading Program - Come in and get a poetry book. Read a couple of poems to us or write or draw a picture of a poem and get a free ice-skating or swim pass.

Call for Young Authors - The deadline for submission for the Pajarito Literary Review or Moebius is Friday, February 15th. Remember there is one entry per person and you can bring your typed or printed entry to the library or email it to ysweb@lacnm.us and include the title of work, first and last name of author, age, grade, teacher, school, phone number and address of the author (personal information will remain private). The Young Authors Reception will be March 17th and the Moebius Reception will be March 18th.

Battle of the Books - Cookie chats will be held every Monday at the Mesa Public Library from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. and in White Rock on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in preparation for our local Battle of the Books on Friday March 21st.

Love Stinks: An Anti-Valentine’s Day Party - We will have a party for ages 13-18 on Monday, February 11th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the upstairs meeting rooms.

Hit the WaL (Wednesday at the Library) - February 6th 2:00-3:30 - make Valentines for Vets, February 13th 2:00-4:00 Mario Cart, February 20th 2:00-3:30 crafts, February 27th 2:00-4:00 DDR.

Family Friendly Film Series - The Game Plan will be the featured film. The movie will be shown in the White Rock Town Hall and begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21st.

Third Floor Art Gallery - From February 4th through the 29th will be the 13th Annual Los Alamos Photographers Show with a reception on February 4th from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
