Webresource: Curriki-The Global Learning Community

Dear Curriki member,

Happy 2008!

Curriki kicked the year off by launching one new tool set to help educators work collaboratively, and another to evaluate materials posted on Curriki. We’re also looking for units or courses for middle and high school, with this month’s focus on Chemistry. Read on . . .

NEW CURRIKI “GROUPS” TOOL MAKES SOCIAL NETWORKING AND COLLABORATION EASY
Whether you’d like to form a community of interest or a community of practice, you can now join a group or use Curriki tools to create one of your own! See the groups that some of our members have already started around adolescent literacy and middle-school science.

CURRIKI REVIEW SYSTEM
Subject-area experts have begun to review and make constructive comments on Curriki lessons, units, and courses. Nominate resources to be reviewed by the Curriki Review Team, or add your own comments using the "comments tab.”

Here's an example of a resource that the review team rated “exemplary” for content accuracy, pedagogy, and technical completeness.
