The 2008 EPGY Summer Institutes

High School Program: This year, Stanford University will again select the finest high-school students from across the country and around the world and bring them together for three-to-four week intensive courses on the Stanford campus. Students will work in small groups, honing their academic skills in a unique and stimulating intellectual environment. Designed for highly motivated students, the Summer Institutes provide an opportunity to study in depth with instructors and peers who share enthusiasm for topics such as: humanities, creative and expository writing, engineering, biotechnology, business, physics, and mathematics. Every student leaves with a sense of academic accomplishment, new friends, and fond memories of a wonderful time spent at Stanford University.

Middle School Program: This two-week program is designed for academically motivated and talented 6th and 7th graders. Students in this two-week program participate in an intensive academic course in one of the following subject areas: mathematics, computer programming, creative writing, expository writing or physical science.

International Programs: This exciting new addition to the Summer Institutes programs takes the Stanford experience overseas. The 2008 International Programs will take place in Beijing, Istanbul, and Singapore. In addition to their main intensive course, students will receive supplementary instruction and will participate in sight-seeing excursions that allow them to learn the history and culture of the region.

EPGY Online High School 2008 Applications

The EPGY Online High School at Stanford University is presently accepting applications for entry in Fall 2008. The early application deadline is January 18, 2008. For more information see OHS Admissions.





AMC Prep Courses
The American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) provide high-school and middle school students the opportunity for mathematical stimulation and rewarding competition. The AMC 10 and the AMC 12 will be offered to high-school students in February of this year. EPGY is offering an on-line AMC prep course for these competitions. Participants in the prep course will use state-of-the-art teleconferencing software to meet with an EPGY instructor and other students to work through problems from past AMC exams.
