I just wanted to tell those of you who do not know about this amazing person who was instrumental in emailing hundreds of schools and teachers in and around the Albuquerque Area in order to get free textbooks for the free textbook drive that occurred this summer. Shannon, with the help of Kari and many members of the Albuquerque Home Learners drove many, many, many miles and gained many sore muscles in the process of gathering these materials.
What was so fantastic is that there were homeschoolers that are on this NM Homeschool Community Network and not on the Albuquerque Home Learners that helped make this a wonderful community effort and I applaud all of you!
The Albuquerque Home Learners are not the only group in the area but they are one of the groups that make up this New Mexico homeschooling community! Check them out they might be right for your family www.abqhomelearners.org and perhaps they are not right for you but they welcome everyone to check out their forum and use the tons of resources they make available to the public!
