Remember if we don’t have the date you are planning to come you will have to pay for parking, so it is imperative you get this information back to us in a timely manner. If you have any questions please call us at (505) 907-2313.






The School Days Entrance Gate Opens

At 8:30AM and Closes at 5:30 PM

To enter the Fair Grounds for School Days you must either enter at Gate 9 on Louisiana near Central or through Gate 1 on Central.

No buses will be allowed to enter the Fair Grounds through Gate 1

Only right turns are permitted onto the Fair Grounds from traffic lanes

Upon entering through either gate all buses will proceed to the School Days processing station near the red entrance gates. Once unloaded the buses will proceed to the bus-parking area on the south side of the parking lot.

Parking is free for all School Days Participants as long as they are in a school bus, or in any vehicle with a School Days parking permit. You will find such a permit within this packet, please make only the number of copies of the permit needed for the number of vehicles you indicated that your group would be coming to the Fair in.

Each day a list of School Day participants who are planning to attend the Fair that day will be given to the parking attendants at each gates. If you’re group is not on the list for that day, then you will have to pay for parking. This is the main reason for informing our office of the exact day, number of and type of vehicles you plan to come in.

Admission is free to all School Days students, teachers and escorts, but you must process into the Fair at the School Days entrance near the red gates.

Only those School Days participants who ambulatory and have been pre-approved will be permitted to enter the grounds at another entrance.

Since many public, private and charter school classes have time restraints on their visit to the Fair due to the scheduling of school buses, we are permitting a second School Days visit for classes from public, private and schools. This does not apply to Home Schools who do not have the same time restraints and can spend the entire day and evening at the Fair.

If you are bringing your class on a City Bus or on the Rapid Ride the costs are $1.00 for adults and 35 cents for students. Both the 66 Bus and the Rapid Ride stop on Central directly in front of Gate 1. The Louisiana Bus stops at the corner of Louisiana and Central next to gate 9. The San Pedro Bus runs until 9AM and after 3:00PM. If you’re taking the Lomas Bus, remember the School Days entrance is on the other side of the Fair Ground, a very long walk from anywhere on Lomas. Attached is a copy of the Bus Schedule for your route as well as any transfer routes you need to take.
