Albuquerque Area: D.R.I.V.E. Homeschooled Teens Group

It was very nice to meet you at the homeschool fair. It was really a fantastic event! (Now I know what I have been missing all this time!)



You had asked me to compose an email to be sent out to your homeschool contacts. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your helpfulness- thank you.

Dear homeschooling families,



Did you know that Albuquerque has a new group for homeschooled teens that focuses not only on great social gatherings but community service as well?



It’s called D.R.I.V.E. (which stands for dedication, responsibility, initiative, vision and enthusiasm)



D.R.I.V.E. is a Christian-based group and membership is FREE. Many events and activities will be free, although some may cost a small fee (i.e., bowling, skating, etc.). We will make every effort to negotiate group discounts and keep all costs as low as possible.



Since our group services the entire Albuquerque area, we will hold events throughout various parts of town to make it convenient for all families. If your teen does not live in Albuquerque but still wishes to participate, they are more than welcome to join if they have transportation to and from the meetings and events that they wish to attend.



We will be hosting the D.R.I.V.E. Kick-Off Meeting and Social in the community room at Title Wave Books (Eubank and Constitution) on Friday, August 31, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This will be a great time for everyone to get acquainted, have some fun and enjoy pizza and refreshments. There is no charge for this event.



Title Wave Books has been very gracious to offer the use of their community room as well as a same-day 15% discount to parents and teens who attend the D.R.I.V.E. Kick-Off Meeting and Social.



If you would like to come to the Kick-Off Meeting and Social, please R.S.V.P. by emailing Rosanna, the D.R.I.V.E. Coordinator at info@ABQTeenDrive.com. It is not mandatory to R.S.V.P. but it will help us to plan for the amount of pizza and other refreshments that we will need. Also, if you have already signed up for our group, you do not need to RSVP.
