The New Mexico Library Association is offering a
$1,500 prize
to the winning designer of the next NMLA logo.

Deadline for submissions: January 14, 2008

But wait, there's more…

The New Mexico library which submits the winning design will win $500 as well!

How does this contest work?

· ALL Libraries in New Mexico are eligible to participate: public, school, academic, special…

· Libraries are encouraged to:

o Review instructions for libraries wishing to participate in this contest.
o Download the NMLA Logo Contest Guidelines and Entry Form (available in Word format) from the website at http://www.nmla.org
o Customize the forms with your own library contact info.
o Make copies of the guidelines and entry forms available to interested patrons.

· Advertise! Encourage your patrons to submit designs to your library by January 14. (How you choose to advertise the contest is up to you: fliers, newsletters, articles in your local paper, announcement on your library's webpage, etc. Check the NMLA webpage for the official guidelines, entry forms, and additional information: http://www.nmla.org.)

· Libraries do not need to evaluate the entries in any way. Simply take in the entries your patrons submit (making sure they include a completed official entry form) and mail them to Lorie Christian, NMLA Administrator, PO Box 26074, Albuquerque, NM 87125 by January 18, 2008!

· The NMLA Board will then review the entries. If a winner is selected, the library responsible for the winning entry will be contacted.
