To mark the start of the holiday season, Casa San Ysidro, the historic house of The Albuquerque Museum, will present its fourth annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 1.
This family event will feature performances by Pasión Flamenco, hot apple cider and other refreshments, holiday activities for children including conquering candy filled piñatas, and the singing of carols around an open bonfire. The house will be decorated for the holidays and the historic rooms will be open for viewing. This is the perfect event to get visitors of all ages into the holiday spirit and the price is right… admission is free.
The Historic Old San Ysidro Church, located across the street from Casa, will add to the festivities by hosting a fine craft show on the evening of December 1. Admission is free to the public.
Casa San Ysidro is a partially reconstructed 18th/19th century Spanish Colonial rancho operated by The Albuquerque Museum in the Village of Corrales. Casa San Ysidro is located at 973 Old Church Road. From Alameda go North on Corrales Road for 3.2 miles then turn left at Old Church Road. For more information call 897-8828.
