Aquarium Lectures top Wednesday, November 7, 7:00 - 9:00pm Aquarium Manager Holly Casman has just returned from a fish collecting trip in the Bahamas and will talk about her experiences, the hard work of diving several times a day and the benefits to the aquarium.
Lectures take place in the Aquarium Theater. Admission is $5 for adults; $3 for seniors and children. Refreshments included. Call 848-7180 for more information.
Mexican Wolf Teacher Workshop Saturday, November 10, 9:00am to 4:00pm top Come learn about the wolf in New Mexico and how you can use this charismatic animal to capture your students' attention for lessons about science, math, social studies and language arts. Get a copy of Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge's teacher's guide to the Mexican grey wolf, packed with lessons coordinated to the State standards and benchmarks. FREE Fishing Clinic at Tingley Beach. Saturday, November 10, 10:00am to 12:00pm top Location: Tent on lawn near train station. With support from New Mexico Trout and the BioPark's Fishing Guide volunteers, this FREE Fishing Clinic will be offered at Tingley Beach every month on the second Saturday. Instruction may include basic fly-tying methods, fly-rod casting techniques, fishing etiquette, effective 'catch and release' practices and enhancement of advanced skills. Equipment and supplies are available for use during the clinic on a first come, first served basis and are free of charge.
Participants are welcome, however, to bring their own gear. In addition, Tingley Outfitters provides basic equipment for purchase inside the train station.

Mule and Donkey Day at the Heritage Farm Saturday, November 10, 10:00am - 2:00pm top The Rio Grande Mule and Donkey Association will be demonstrating at the Rio Grande Botanic Garden's Heritage Farm. Handsome mules and donkeys will be hard at work harrowing, log skidding, pulling buggies, and running an obstacle course to demonstrate the skills they need as working animals. Visitors will be able to meet donkeys, mules, and miniature versions of each in person at the supervised petting area. The owners who care for and train these animals will also be available to talk with the public and answer questions. Mule and Donkey activities are included with general admission.

Quilting Demonstration at the Heritage Farm Wednesday, November 14, 10:00am-2:00pm top Visit with the artisans of the New Mexico Quilters Association as they work on their Botanic Garden quilt and other projects at the Heritage Farm house. Included with Garden admission.
