Subject: Scholarships Available for Workshop at Albuquerque BioPark

Dear Educators,

The Albuquerque BioPark will be hosting two workshops for educators: “The Wonders of Wetlands” on July 13, and “The Planning of Wetlands” on July 14. Scholarships for both classes are available! If you would like to attend these workshops for free, please complete the attached form and return it by this Friday, July 6. You may fax it to 410-745-3517 or e-mail it to POW@wetland.org.

Workshop Details:
The Rio Grande and its wetlands are vital to much of the wildlife in our arid state. Attend “WOW! The Wonders of Wetlands” on July 13 to learn about the ecology and importance of wetland habitats. Attend “POW! The Planning of Wetlands” on July 14 to learn how you can incorporate a wetland habitat into your own schoolyard. Educators of all levels from schools, outdoor education centers, wildlife refuges, and non-traditional programs will benefit from this hands-on program presented by Environmental Concern. WOW! and POW! activities are correlated with the National Science Education Standards. Both workshops take place at the Albuquerque Aquarium and Tingley Beach.

*Please call (410) 745-9620 or go to www.wetland.org to register.
*Fees: $45 for July 13, $50 for July 14, OR $90 for both days.
