UFO EXPERTS CRASH THE LIBRARY]

Y.N.K. what is out there! UFO experts will descend upon the Rio Rancho Public Library on July 12 to report on strange happenings in the San Luis Valley and attempt to answer the question – are we alone??

Paranormal expert Christopher O’Brien has been documenting UFOs, ghosts, crypto-creatures, cattle mutilations, Indian legends, skin walkers, secret underground bases and covert military activity in the San Luis Valley, birthplace of the “cattle mutilation” mystery, since 1989 and is currently on tour promoting his recently published book, “Secrets of the Mysterious Valley” (Adventures Unlimited, 2007). O'Brien is Arizona State Director for Skywatch International and has done significant work in periodicals, literature, radio, film and television – both in front and behind the camera. O'Brien has also co-written an action/adventure film screenplay, Deadline, which was a finalist in the 1998 Southwest Screenwriter's Guild contest.

Following a brief intermission, paranormal expert David Perkins, founder and staff writer for Spirit Magazine, will provide the (almost) final answers in the world of ufology. Perkins, a Yale graduate, has been an active paranormal researcher since 1975, investigating everything from cattle mutilations to underground alien bases. He is the author of “Altered Steaks” (Am Here Books, 1982) and has written the forward to O’Brien’s current book. Perkins will draw from popular culture, science fiction, quantum physics, cosmology, psychology, space exploration, anthropology, cryptozoology, evolutionary biology, religion, mythology and much more in order to discuss current theories on the origins of unexplained phenomena.

This event is part of the teen summer reading program, YNK @ Your Library. No registration is necessary; the program will begin at 12:00 noon in the Loma Colorado Main Library Auditorium at 755 Loma Colorado Dr NE. For more information call Youth Services at 891-5013 x3042.
