Hello, I am currently working with the owner of a Karate dojo here in Rio Rancho to develop homeschooling classes in Karate. He is willing to hold classes on Mondays/Wednesdays during the day as well as on Saturdays and there may be the opportunity for late morning classes AND early afternoon classes if there is enough interest.
The two owners have 60 years together of experience in Karate and weaponry. Their web site is below. The cost is 65$ per month for one student, additional family members are 35$ each (including parents!) They are also willing to develop lesson plans/grading for the students.
His email to me: "My partner John, was a physical education teacher, as well as English and History in London and is offering to set up lesson plans and grading requirements that could perhaps help meet some of the requirements that home schooled children might need. If that is of interest to your group, perhaps many home schooled kids could benefit. If you are able to get a group going, actually Monday and Wednesdays are the best days for us also. Late morning or early afternoon are both options we can discuss."
Their dojo is on Stephanie Road (two streets east from 528/Meadowlark - where Intel is) so it is very accessible.
