Happy New Year All!
Recent newscasts have announced that January is Radon Action Month. January is traditionally the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's month for Radon awareness building. This year is special since I first heard the broadcasts 2 weeks before Christmas and the rush hasn't slowed. Our supply ran out today but we have a waiting list and the State is shipping another supply. I expect to mail the new kits out later this week, so please be patient.
Are you concerned about Radon? If you are interested in testing your home, call 311 for a free Radon Kit. If you are outside the Bernalillo County area, you may also obtain a free kit from the NM Environment Department via 505-827-1093.
