A Portrait of Your Pet: Clay Sculpture



Ages 7 and up, A two-session class



Wednesday afternoons (Jan. 16 and 23, from 4 to 5:30 PM)

A Portrait of Your Pet Wow! Is that your pet…or is it a portrait of your pet?







Learn and have fun at the same time in this two-session class for kids 7 and up. Students will learn the essentials of clay sculpture as well as the key elements of capturing a portrait likeness. Incorporate the elements and principles of three dimensional design and relevant ideas from art history.







We’ll be drawing, sculpting and glazing – we’ll be creating some fantastic works of art!







BIO



Bethe Sailer is a painter, sculptor, ceramicist and teacher living in Albuquerque. She owns Sailer Fine Art and Instruction. She is married to the artist Jason Sailer, together they are raising three children. Her work is exhibited locally at the New Fisher Gallery on Central, the Bank of Albuquerque at Lad era and the New Mexico School of Music.
