Myicourse - free online course delivery system

MyiCourse is a free, easy to use, online course management site that
allows the site owner to construct online courses and tests.The
Myicourse sites can be either public or private. Private sites only
allow entry of students that have been preregistered by the site owner
and their courses are not available to others. We believe there is a
tremendous need for on-line teaching of all subjects and we have
eliminated the barriers to use for everyone.

The mission of Myicourse is to provide software that helps users
create and post their own educational materials, at no cost. We do not
believe all of life's necessary learning is contained within the walls
of universities or between the binders of books. We want to
democratize knowledge for those who wish to learn. Come help us
flatten the world!

We are Internet users just like you. We believe in the Internet and
the potential it holds for the world. We believe in the spirit that
continues to drive the Internet; open, unfettered access for everyone.
We believe in personal knowledge and the wisdom of the ages. We do not
believe all of the life's necessary knowledge and wisdom is contained
within the walls of universities or between the binders of books. In
essence we believe in you!

We agree with Twain who said, "I never let my schooling interfere
with my education." In the spirit of Craig's List, we are providing
our platforms free of charge. There are no gimmicks or hidden charges.
Really, it is totally free! We hate pop-up ads. If you want to
advertise via banner ads, we ask for a nominal monthly fee of $15 per
month. If you decide not to advertise with your own banner ads, the
platforms, usage and bandwidth are free. In short, we believe our
mission is to provide software to the world that helps users create
and post their own educational materials, at no cost. We want to

I tentatively created a University of LIFE on Myicourse
(http://universityof life.myicourse. com/). And I stuck a rudimentary
Earth Science unit up on it as a (partial) sample course.

It is very easy to use and if anyone would like to try to create some
online course content for our homeschool community, or if you already
have some you've been administering some other way and you'd like to
try using Myicourse, let me know.

I'm still learning the ropes with it, but it's easy to add "faculty"
to it. Courses can be as long or as short as you like. Ideally, I'd
like to keep them free, but may consider low cost courses in the future.

Anyway, if you'd like to try your hand at it, let me know! Of course,
you can also go create your own "college", but it might be fun to just
create classes for ourselves.
