Los Ranchos Growers’ & Arts/Crafts Markets

Sat. June 23, 7 - 11 am

6718 Rio Grande Blvd NW, next to the tennis courts and the fire station.




Los Poblanos Organics will have the first of the tomatoes. Mary will have blackberries. Music by Michael Gallegos




Market tables will have:

tomatoes

Spinach, chard, kale, arugula, variety of lettuces, basil

cherries, strawberries

onions, Garlic

sprouts

goat cheese and yoghurt

Salmon, beef, olive oil, butter and cheese (made from organic milk from grass-fed cows)

fresh pasta

organic raspberry jam

pies and quiches

Eggs, bread, honey

Annuals, perennials, bedding plants, seedlings, fresh herbs

Fresh bouquets including Bells of Ireland, roses, and more!

burritos & hot coffee, and more!




Arts and Crafters will feature creative and unique gifts including:

Ornaments, pottery, Japanese porcelain flower holders,

bird houses, metal sculpture

knitted and crocheted sweaters and afghans, painted silk scarves

handmade soaps, wood crafts, oil and watercolor paintings

jewelry, cards, dolls, toys and more!




Recipes: In honor of the 15th anniversary of the market, if you would like to submit your favorite seasonal recipe to be included in this year's 7th Cooking in the Village recipe book, please send it in a word document to sue@brawleyandcompany.com, or drop off a copy to the market information table.




2008 Commemorative Calendar: In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the incorporation of the Village, and the 15th anniversary of the Growers' Market, the Village is planning a commemorative calendar, which will be available for purchase this fall. Residents and friends of the Village are invited to submit photographs, by July 15th, 2007, of your favorite Village scenes. These could include, for instance, ditch areas, wildlife photos taken in the Village, seasonal vegetables, flowers, plants, animals, or Market photos. Photos should be submitted digitally to Rosemary in the village office on disk or via email rhall@villr.com. The twelve most representative photos will be selected for the calendar, proceeds from the sale will be used to support special events at the Growers' Market
