KNIT CLIQUE CONTINUES @ THE LIBRARY!
The summer session of Knit Clique for knitters in grades 5 and up will start on June 5 at 10:00-11:30 am and will continue through July 31. Anyone can knit. . . boys and girls. Learn some stitches and a few simple techniques, make new friends. See how cool knitting really is. Beginners must bring size 10 needles. For more information, call Youth Services at the Loma Colorado Public Library (891-5013, ext 3032).
TIME TWISTERS/ART CLASSES @ THE LIBRARY!
A brand new program at the Loma Colorado Public Library will be starting on June 12 . . . TIME TWISTERS/Art Classes! This is a unique opportunity for children in grades 4-6 to create art from present and past styles, from ancient Greek art to Art Nouveau to Manga. This program was created by Megan Hellwig, a senior at Rio Rancho High School, where she has focused on courses in both fine arts and art history. Most recently, Megan curated the Manga Expo at the Loma Colorado Public Library and the show at the Bernalillo Health Fair. She has sold her artwork in the United States and abroad.
This series of six classes on Tuesdays from 2:00-3:00 pm will
continue through July 17. Kids will get a smattering of art
history, a dose of art appreciation, and a chance to get down and
dirty with a variety of media and materials. Registration begins

June 4 at 10:00 am in the Auditorium of the library; kids may sign
up for one class or for all six. For more information, call the
