Article: Homeschooling is a viable alternative to public schools

Good article and it just goes to show that the power of choice in our child's education will help us be able to make the best decisions for our children and for our families no matter how we choose to educate them but the fact that homeschooling is considered a viable alternative to public schools should be one that is supported more in legislation.--Tabbi

This is from A2Zhomeschool Yahoo Group:

Homeschooling is a viable alternative to public schools

"The home environment of these students is supportive, nurturing and
encourages diligence -- homeschooled children watch less television
than do typical students. Contributing to the success and growth of
homeschooling are the technological advances that have made
homeschooling easier and provided parents with a vast wealth of
information at the fingertips of their computer keyboards. Through the
Internet, research and support systems abound -- they provide parents
with educational tips, lesson plans and source material.

"Homeschooling may not be for everyone, but there are certainly
indicators that it works well for most and extremely well for some."
