Albuquerque: First Friday Fractals returns - EVERY Friday in August

Hi everyone - it's been a little while since I've written, and I have a bunch of really exciting news to share. First of all... First Friday Fractals is returning, starting this coming Friday, August 3'd at 6, 7, and 8 PM!
We've been completely reworking the show, and it's going to be better than ever. And what's really great is that the Museum of Natural History and Science - which took over running the Planetarium - is being really supportive of the fractal shows, and they're letting us run the shows every Friday in August, to kick things off, and then we'll run for a whole year. So finally, we should be able to accommodate all the people who want to see this incredible show. (I know there's a bunch of people on the list who've been turned away repeatedly, so this should help.)
So - there's a new way to buy tickets, that will let you reserve them well in advance, so we should be able to avoid the problem of having people turned away. The good news is that you'll be able to buy tickets online at:

http://www.museumtix.com/venue/program.asp?vid=713&pid=1352019

And, you will be able to get them for any of the future shows, not just the next one. This is a great development. The tradeoff is that there will be a built-in surcharge of a dollar for the ticketing, meaning tickets will now cost $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 for kids. Sorry about that, but I hope the convenience will more than make up for it. (MuseumTix is powered by Ticketmaster, and I'm sure glad they gave us the lowest possible nonprofit rate so the surcharge isn't as bad as if you were going to see the Rolling Stones or something. I do feel like a bit of a math/rock-star when the sold-out theater is cheering for the fractals:)

Here's how it'll work: when you buy a ticket online, you'll get a confirmation number and then your tickets will be at Will-Call under your name. Online ticket sales will stop at ~ 2PM on Friday afternoon. If there are any seats left over, you'll be able to buy them at the box office after 5:15, (but don't count on it!) Now, the Ticketmaster people have been hard at work with the Museum people to make this all happen, and I've been waiting and waiting to be able to make this announcement. And it's finally here!

Well hey, there's a bunch of other really exciting great news to share, but I'll wait and post it in another email soon. Good luck buying tickets, (I hope the new system works smoothly!) and I can't wait to see a bunch of you down at the planetarium this Friday!
Thanks,
