As of 7/10/07 here are the numbers for each class, remember the classes will not run if they do not have the minimum number of students (16). Please feel free to forward this information.
Go to this link and click on each class to get a syllabus of the lessons to be taught. Classes are held once a week but there are various times to choose from. They are very age restrictive so please go by the ages listed to see which class your child would be placed into. These are for homeschoolers only. Registration is open until August 10, 2007!

READ CAREFULLY, I KNOW THIS IS A LOT OF INFORMATION TO PROCESS BUT I HAVE TRIED TO PARE IT DOWN TO THE NECESSITIES! IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK HOLLY DURING REGISTRATION OR MYSELF!
So here's what to do:
1. Click on this link http://www.explora.us/ExploraPHP/english/homeschoolsci.php
This also has the class syllabi and other class information on it, this is a private link just for our community and is not accessible to the general public.
2. Click on 'Registration Form', print this out.
3. Indicate the class you prefer. If Explora gets enough people they will open all classes.
All classes will ONLY run if full, if they do not fill by the time registration closes your money will be refunded to you. A full class is 16 kids with 20 being the maximum allowed in each class. It only benefits you and your children if you contact others who might be interested in these classes to fill them. Please feel free to send this email around to anyone that might be interested!
4. Holly in Reservations at Explora 224-8341. If she does not answer leave a message with your information, class choice and if you want to pay by card when she calls you back.
If you choose to pay by check or cash, bring the payment and the registration form down to Explora and leave it in an envelope with Holly's name on it with the front cashier. They will secure your payment until Holly can come down to collect them.
Bringing a payment and dropping it off will assure your child's spot in a class. You can try the mail but that is questionable at times.
5. PAYMENT IS EXPECTED UPON REGISTRATION.
6. You will receive a confirmation letter from Explora indicating what will be expected of you upon attending each class. If you volunteer to be the class contact you will be expected to maintain a list of who is volunteering and for which day. Parents who volunteer please make every effort to get in touch with your class contact if you can not make your scheduled time and day.
Parents with siblings that can not volunteer their time please let the class contact know and if there are not enough volunteers for a class Explora will provide some of their own.
On the registration form it indicates that they would like you to sit at a different table than your child when you volunteer, but if you or you child has issues with this it is NOT a big deal merely sit at the same table as your child and some other children and help ALL the kids at your table.
7. Parents who have special requirements for their children please indicate that you need to be in the classroom, etc. on the registration form.
8. Children in the K-1 and 2-4 Grade levels will need to be signed in and out of every class by their parent or guardian, your child will not be allowed to leave the classroom without their parent.
They are very strict about the ages and your child MUST be the age required by the day the class is scheduled to start.
You will be registering for the entire 14 week class semester, classes can not be paid and taken individually.
There are no multi-child or member discounts. Siblings (too young or too old or not enrolled in the specific class) will NOT be allowed in the classrooms.
PLEASE NOTE that for younger children the Growing a Scientist program is available through Explora's regular course of classes listed on the site! And there are other after school programs available also http://www.explora.us/ExploraPHP/english/index.php
9. Admission is not included in your fees, you must pay to use the facilities before and after classes and this includes parents and siblings waiting for their children during class time.
