What a GREAT Kick-Off!



Wow! Thank you to all the teens to attended the D.R.I.V.E. Kick-Off Meeting and Social. It was a huge success. We ended up using every last chair (and a couple of stools) that Title Wave Books had!

Once more, we would like to thank Title Wave Books on Eubank and CiCi's Pizza on Montgomery for their generous sponsorship of our very first D.R.I.V.E. event!

Ice Skating at the Outpost Ice Arena

Friday, September 14
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Fee: $10 (includes skate rentals)

The Outpost is located at 9430 Tramway Blvd NE.

Remember, you earn one point for attending a social event!

Please note that we will have our first community service project at a nursing home on Friday Sept. 28, as this date worked better for the nursing home that we will be visiting than Sept. 14th, as we had originally planned. More details will be posted on this next week!

Forums, Forums, Forums!
Please remember that all activities are posted in the D.R.I.V.E. forums. The forums are also a place to suggest activities, ask questions, converse with your friends, take polls, submit prayer requests, etc.

Thank you to all who have posted so far. If you haven't posted anything yet, the "Say Hello" message board is a great place to start! There are also separate sections just for teens and parents. Feel free to start a new topic or reply to an existing thread (topic).

Through the end of September, all teens who post to the forums will earn half a point for each post. A maximum of three points can be earned this way. It's a great start on the way to a D.R.I.V.E. Leadership Award! So get on today and post away!!!!

We have been really blessed in starting this group. Since our first meeting, even more teens have joined, bringing our total membership to over 30 outstanding youth!
