Art Classes for 6-12 Year Olds
Mondays from 1:30-3:30
Session 1 - Sept.17-Nov.12
Session 2 - March 10-May 5
(no classes Oct.1 and March 24)
Cost-$100.00 for each 8 week session

Our first session's program is "Drawing Upon Nature", an exploration of the
young artist's place in the natural world. Throughout the eight week course we
will be taking our creativity out into the beautiful countryside of Corrales.
We will be learning how to expand our perceptions and observations of nature,
and finding our own personal and artistic way to record and express them.

Art classes will be taught by Cottonwood School's art director Mr. John Toomey.
John has a BFA in studio arts and is a certified Montessori educator with
thirteen years of teaching experience. His work, which is exhibited both
locally and nationally, is inspired by strong passion and active curiosity.
John's teaching likewise is inspired by these same forces and he shares his
enthusiasm for the arts with great delight.

All students are aware of their responsibility to maintain an atmosphere of respect and encouragement.
