Kids Contest for "Be Kind to Animals" Week
Albuquerque Animal Care Centers' Kid Poster and Essay Contest
Kids, do you love animals?
If so, enter the AACC Kid Contest to celebrate Be Kind to Animals Week, May 6th-12th.
Poster Contest
* Draw a picture of your Pet Poster Contest
* The poster contest is for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders only.
* Posters can be sketched, penciled, colored, or painted on paper no larger than 8 1/2 x 11.
* Please include the following information on the back of the poster: artist's name, grade, school name, teacher name, parent name, student mailing address, and contact phone number to reach parent/student.
Pet Essay/Poem Contest
* Write an essay or poem about your pet or a pet you know.
* This contest is open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders only.
* All essays or poems must be student's original work and stories or poems should not have more than 200 words.
* Essays or poems must be handwritten.
* The entry must list the child's name, grade, school name, teacher name, parent name, student mailing address, and contact phone number to reach parent/student.

All entries will be accepted until May 1, 2007.
Entries will become the property of the AACC. First, second, and third place will be awarded in each contest category and winners will receive a trophy and certificate. Selected entries will be displayed at the AACC. Contest winners will be notified individually during Be Kind to Animals Week. Questions?
