Here are some emails regarding the Science Fair that I have compiled together, there is lots of information here so read through them all if you are interested:


Dear Science Fair Participants,

Please find attached sample copies of the judging rubric and scoring sheet. These are the files I’ve sent the judges and the sheets they will use when judging our Science & Engineering Fair. I wanted you to be aware of exactly what they’re looking at so you know how the scoring will be conducted.

I have sent out confirmations to all individuals for whom I have science fair registrations. If you didn’t receive that confirmation email, but sent your registration in, please email me so I can add you to our list of participants.

Dear Science Fair Participants,



This is a reminder about the Science & Engineering Fair this year and we hope that you are looking forward to the events of Friday, January 18th, 2008. If you haven’t sent in your entry forms, please don’t worry. Just get them in as soon as possible. We don’t want any child to feel like he or she can’t participate because they didn’t get the entry form in on time. Everyone is welcome.



Below is a schedule (judge-specific information in maroon, student specific information in blue) of what happens on the day of the Fair. E-mails with directions to Heights First Church of the Nazarene will follow, as well as the judging rubric and the scoring sheet. Thank you again for participating. Please let me know if I can answer additional questions. If you’re not participating, please disregard this notice and the several to follow. Sorry for the inconvenience.



Schedule:



7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. – Friday, January 28th – you may set up your projects at your designated location in the gym.



8:00 – 8:45 a.m. – Judges will be arriving and have been invited to begin looking at projects.



8:45 – 9:00 a.m. - Judging instructions given in the judging area. The judging area is currently planned to be in the two rooms just outside the gym.



9:00 a.m. – Students must be out of the gym



9:00 - 9:30 a.m. - Preliminary viewing of projects by judges without students present.



9:30 a.m. - about 11:00 a.m. - Judging of projects: Judges will interview students at their projects so students must be located at their project area.



11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon – Judges will deliberate and have lunch.



12:00 noon -2:00 p.m. - Research Expo Open to the Public!



2:00 – AWARDS will be announced!



3:00 p.m. – All projects must be removed (i.e., take them home), tables and chairs put away, and the gym ready for basketball practice at 5:00 p.m.

Dear Science Fair Participants,



Heights First Church of the Nazarene is located at 8401 Paseo del Norte NE in Albuquerque. The church is located on the north side of the street and is between Wyoming and Eubank (closer to Wyoming).



If you’re coming north on I25, exit east on Paseo del Norte and once you pass Wyoming begin looking for the church on the north side of the street. Turn north at the light right before the church and you’ll see the drive going into the church on your right.

If you’re coming north on Tramway, turn west on Paseo del Norte and once you pass Eubank begin looking for the church on the north side of the street. Turn north at the light right after the church and you’ll see the drive going into the church on your right.
