Los Alamos: Kids Cook - Class

January 23, WEDNESDAY, Kids Cook. This is an experiment and if you like it we will continue to develop these classes so that kids of middle school age can learn cooking skills. In this first class we will focus on safety and cleanliness in the kitchen, measuring, and some basic techniques like stirring, whisking, grating and shredding. We'll make macaroni and cheese, NOT from a box! Next month we'll tackle soup making. (Dotty, $15 + tax)

Cooking Class Details
Cooking classes are usually held at the store on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. We pride ourselves on the fun and interaction of our small cooking classes, and "no shows" reduce the experience for everyone. Please pay in advance for cooking classes. You must register for classes in person (in the store) or by telephone. We cannot accept registration by email at this time because it is not secure. If you need to cancel and can let us know no later than 6 PM on the Friday before the class is scheduled, you will get a full refund or can reschedule for another class.

All classes include supplies and handouts -- and you get to eat what you cooked!

Don't be discouraged when you are interested in a class that is sold out. Give us a call and we will put your name on the "wait list." If there are cancellations, we'll let you know. Also, if the wait list is very long, there is a good probability that the class, or another one along the same theme, will be repeated.
